After I bought the camera (on clearance by the way), I drove around town to several locations to test it out. Some pictures came out better than others, so here are the better than others...
The Veterans War Memorial on the Park Strip
The view of the Sleeping Lady and the mudflats, from Elderberry Park and Hannah Cove
Earthquake Park
I'm destroying the spelling of this, but these images are taken from Point Warnsoff, just outside the Ted Stevens International Airport. The sunset at about 10:40p.
On my way home for the evening, there was a moose on the side of the road. In my haste to take a decent picture with very little ambient light, I ruined a good picture opportunity. Most of the pictures came out blurry. The thing I like about this picture is that you can see just how close the moose was to my car...the moose ended up taking a stroll across the street and down to the Coastal Trail. I'm sure I'll have other moose picture-taking opportunities during my time here...
To see the rest of my images there's a slideshow in the next section of this page.
