Another Hockey Extravaganza

I need to make a correction to my last post. The Aces were actually in the second round of the playoffs. Please also note that I used the past tense in that last statement.

Friday night the Alaska Aces were outscored 6-3 by the Las Vegas Wranglers.  It was a great game for the most part, pretty tight throughout. In the third period, with the Aces feeling the hurt as a result of their injured players growing in number, the Wranglers proved the tougher of the two teams, scoring the final sweeping blows of their win.
It was a fun night all around. Lori, Scott and myself were there care of, yet again, Mr. Bob Lester. Many thanks Bob!! Lori spent part of the game cheering with her clapper, lent to her by the rowdy fellahs who were sitting next to us, and texting to someone whom shall remain nameless...
At the times that Lori was "preoccupied", Scott and I were entertained by the guys sitting next to us. They were a real hoot!! They reminded me of Luca, with their heckling banter of the refs and the Wranglers' goalie, although the two of them combined had nothing against Luca at a Huskies game.

The company of the two guys, I think, made the night. They were gentle reminders of the proud passion celebrated by Red Sox fans.
Even with the Aces loss, my experience at the game is a good indication that I will attend Aces games next season. Hopefully I'll get to a couple of Alaska Wild games soon. They are the arena football team here in Anchorage. Weird to think that I am living in a part of our nation that has no "Major League" teams.

Temperature update: 34 degrees and cloudy in Anchorage.

Alaska Trivia: The Alaska Range is the largest mountain chain in the state. It extends from the Alaska Peninsula to the Yukon Territory.

It's good to see your face, if only in a picture.
